We are delighted to share these wonderful photographs with you - sent in by the dogs' new owners

It's a hard life sleeping on this bed and then having to go to the beach

I love hiking in the Lake District with my family

During 2009 the Scheme was responsible for the rehoming of 31 Flatcoated Retrievers, including 1 Flatcoat/Labrador cross, compared to 2008's total of 35.

Of these 31, 13 were rehomed directly through the Scheme (including the Flatcoat/Labrador cross) - 8 bitches and 5 dogs -the youngest being 8 months and the oldest 8 years. 18 were assisted rehomings - 5 bitches and 13 dogs - the youngest being 12 months and the oldest 9 years. The average age of the dogs being rehomed was 4 years.

As always, they have been placed in loving family homes as companions and are doing very well, although some maybe a little naughtier than others.
